Oliver completed his training at London Contemporary Dance School in July 2014. Following his graduation, Oliver pursued his dream of intensive training in Shaolin Kung Fu, under the instruction of Shaolin Warrior Monks in Qufu, Shandong Province, China.
Oliver began working with Rosie Kay Dance Company upon his return in February 2015 with the award winning, 5* National Tour of 5 Soldiers. Following this, he worked for Tony Mill’s ‘ROOM2MANEOUVRE’ performing ‘SquishSquared’, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Oliver has continued to build his relationship with Rosie Kay, retouring ‘5 Soldiers’ across Scotland and then touring a double bill consisting of ‘Double Points: K’ and ‘Motel’ across the UK.
Oliver’s class will focus on technique, agility and stamina. The class will draw upon practices from authentic Shaolin Kung Fu training and how this can influence movement, emphasizing different qualities, which utilize and develop the body’s speed, power and endurance.
