Brum Pro Class with Devon Nelson

THIS CLASS HAS LIMITED CAPACITY AND TICKETS CAN ONLY BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE ONLINE. Please read DanceXchange’s Covid-19 safety procedures to ensure you can return to the studio with us safely. You should only attend if you can present evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Class booking will close 10 minutes before the start time. Please ensure all personal information is entered correctly when booking your class.

 

About the class:

This class will be a melting-pot of methods with the aim of encouraging adaptability to find a variety of textures and styles in the body. Technically challenging and expressive, make sure to bring your own spice cause we are turning up the heat!

Live Music:

This class with be accompanied by live musicians from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Musicians: Alex Collett-Sinfield (Technology/Sax), Michelle Amezcua (French Horn), Jack Mouradian (Oboe) & Lucy Samuels (Cello)

 

About Devon:

Devon is a movement artist and educator from Wolverhampton. As a professional dancer, he has worked freelance for various companies and organisations in and around the West Midlands. Devon is also a fully qualified yoga teacher, having graduated from his 200hr RYT during lockdown. Devon trained at Birmingham Ormiston Academy During his time at BOA, Devon participated in a wide variety of performance opportunities both in house and externally. Devon has also worked with the renowned international touring company ACE Dance and Music. He has a passion for teaching, outreach and participation and aims to deliver quality learning experiences to students, by drawing from his own vocational experience and his growing knowledge of the body and movement.
