BRUMproclass with Kate Taylor

Tuesday Morning ProClass with Kate Taylor

Kate’s practice has been heavily influenced by over 20 years of rich, diverse experiences, as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Expect dynamic, rhythmical sequences, shifting through both space and levels. Kate will also work some Pilates technique into the class and a relaxation to bring the class to a close.

Kate’s performance experience includes International Dance Festival Birmingham, Bedlam (South East), Cscape Dance (Cornwall), Wired Aerial Theatre (Liverpool), Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company (Shrewsbury), State of Emergency (London), Topiary Dance (Birmingham), Motionhouse dance theatre (Leamington Spa), Ascendance Rep (Leeds), Retina (Nottingham/Belgium), Talking Birds (Coventry), Croi Glan Integrated Dance (Ireland), Synapse (Japan), Parlor Dance (Buckinghamshire), UnderConstruction Theatre Company (Oxford) and Twist & Shout production company (Leicester).

Kate has taught extensively within the educational and professional sectors, working in primary and secondary, both mainstream and special, and also FE and HE, including dance and performing arts conservatoires. She has also worked for dance and performing arts organisations, theatres and art houses.

Over a ten-year period, Kate successfully directed and solely managed mobius dance theatre, seeing the company through five regional and national touring productions with the support of Arts Council England. Kate’s choreographic and producing work has seen her work regionally and nationally on both community and professional-based projects, in addition to commercial contracts.

Kate is the founder and director of Warwickshire-based Centre-Point, a Contemporary Dance and Pilates School. She is also a qualified Pilates matwork teacher.

Be sure to follow Kate’s work!
