BRUMproclass with Chris Vann (BRB: Studio 5)

Tuesday Morning ProClass with Chris Vann

ABOUT THE CLASS
Chris’s class draws on his history of exercise, starting with a circuit-based warm-up to get the heart
pumping and the body guessing! The class will then move into Cunningham-based centre exercises to
stimulate the mind and body, and challenge our attention to detail. Finally, the class will dive into some
release phrasing to finish, hopefully in a sweaty hot mess!

ABOUT CHRIS
Chris Vann is a regional dance artist who started dance at the age of 17 at Stourbridge College, then
went on to train at Laban, London. After completing his studies at Laban, Chris went on to work
with choreographers including Rosie Kay, Thomas Small, Keisha Grant, Jennifer Essex and Kristin
Kelly-Abbott. During this time he has also taught at many schools, colleges, universities and dance
establishments including Dance City (Newcastle), DanceXchange (Birmingham), Winchester
University and Wolverhampton University.

Furthermore, Chris has extensive knowledge in the fields of fitness, health and wellbeing;
this is a passion that pre-exists his dance history and influences his dance practice.
At present, Chris is working as a personal trainer whilst also looking to develop his
choreographic dance practice and the curation of his own work… watch this space!
