Johnny will lead a fun and rhythmical pro class focusing on technical, dynamic & playful exercises as physical and sensorial explorations of movement using breath, gravity and nuances in quality and tonicity while challenging the dancers’ core strength and stamina.
About Johnny:
Johnny is an established International Dance Artist & Choreographer based in Birmingham (UK). Originally from France, he is the founder and Creative Director of award-winning Autin Dance Theatre.
The company is a collaborative and project-based organisation producing engaging artistic performances (outdoor, theatres, unusual and digital spaces) and that provides extensive learning & participation programmes in the community. AutinDT’s mission is to inspire, educate & instigate positive social changes by delivering world-class multi-disciplinary arts activities. Since 2013, the company has built a strong reputation for its work with highly acclaimed productions including Taksim Square, A Posi+ive Life, Dystopia, Out of the Deep Blue.
AutinDT is currently extensively touring and presenting Out of the Deep Blue to outdoor arts events and international dance festivals. Johnny’s choreographic process is often influenced by socio-political statements and engaged towards positive, empowering, and inspiring experiences for all.
